Get involved and help make the game better for the next generation. Officials are a critical part of the player experience and help keep games organized, safe, and enjoyable for everyone involved.


GridForce Football is looking for motivated and reliable officials to referee games for our NFL FLAG leagues and 7-on-7 programs in:

  • Eagle, Idaho
  • Meridian, Idaho
  • Payette, Idaho
  • Fair Oaks, California


As a GridForce official, you play an important role in helping games run smoothly while creating a safe, fair, and positive environment for young athletes.

Officials help teach players the game while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect on the field.

We offer multiple seasons throughout the year, giving officials the opportunity to stay active, gain experience, and stay involved in the game they love.

What Officials Do

GridForce officials help ensure games are played safely and fairly.

Responsibilities include:

• Officiating games with fairness and consistency
• Enforcing league rules and game procedures
• Promoting sportsmanship and respect on the field
• Helping create a fun and positive game environment
• Representing GridForce Football with professionalism


Official Requirements

To become a GridForce official, applicants must:

  • Be at least 14 years old (parent permission required if under 18) to officiate NFL Flag
  • Be at least 18 years old to officiate 7 on 7
  • Attend a training session
  • Participate in scrimmages if additional practice is needed
  • Commit to working games during the season when scheduled
  • Communicate scheduling conflicts in advance
  • Arrive on time and prepared for all games
  • Treat players, coaches, parents, and fellow officials with respect


Training

  • No prior officiating experience is required for NFL Flag.
  • All new officials receive training on NFL FLAG rules, game mechanics, and on-field positioning to help them feel confident before working games.
  • Our goal is to help officials develop their skills while supporting a positive youth sports environment.
